The work of Duke Divinity School depends on the support of thousands of donors and financial partners. Gifts to the Divinity Library support crucial work in programming, facilities, and collection development. These gifts directly benefit current students, alumni, and community members.

Ways to give

Give Online: Use the Divinity School's online giving form to direct your gift to the Divinity Library.

Give by Phone: In order to make your gift by phone, please call the Alumni and Development Office at (919) 684-2338. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern time.

Give by Mail: The Duke University Office of Alumni & Development Records receives all gifts on behalf of the Divinity School. The check should be made payable to Duke Divinity School. Please write the Divinity Library (or other designation for your gift) in the memo section, or include a letter. Then, mail your donation to: Alumni & Development Records, Duke University, Box 90581, Durham, NC 27708-0581.

Gifts of books or other research materials: We are grateful for patrons' interest in placing materials with us. However, per university library policy, the Divinity Library is not accepting gifts of books or other materials for the general collection at this time. The Divinity Library maintains a "free book cart" by the front desk for students and visitors; if you would like to donate materials to this cart, please call the circulation desk at 919-660-3450. Please also consider donating your books to the Theological Book Network

Suggest a Purchase: Have you written a book that would be a good fit for the Divinity Library's collection? Please send us the book's information using the online form on our Ask a Librarian page. Please do not send us a copy of the book -- per university library policy, the Divinity Library is not accepting gifts of books or other materials for the general collection at this time.
