Dr. Katie Benjamin, MLS, MTS, ThD

Divinity Library Director

Dr. Benjamin (she/her) joined the staff as Divinity Library Director in 2018. She holds a BA from Valparaiso University, her MLS from North Carolina Central University, and her MTS and ThD from Duke Divinity School. She teaches courses in the historical division, including CHURHST 803: History of Biblical Interpretation.

Dr. Benjamin recommends:

•  A psalm for the wild-built, by Becky Chambers
• the Mountains-to-Sea Trail (a hiking trail that spans the state of North Carolina)
• the East Coast Greenway (a bike path that runs from Maine to Florida, including Durham's North/South Greenway and the American Tobacco Trail)
• Aikido (the way of spirit harmony), a martial art that emphasizes blending, redirection of energy, and neutralization/immobilization
